I am a multimedia community artist based in Edinburgh. I have worked as a designer, artist and tutor for over twenty five years working with individuals and groups of all ages and abilities. I love all forms of art and design and I am committed to supporting others to make and share their artwork with others.

My original honours degree was in knitted textiles and I completed a post graduate degree in contemporary art theory at Edinburgh College of Art in 2006. Between 2019 and 2021 I studied painting and drawing at Leith School of Art.

In 2012 I set up and ran a social enterprise and a gallery in Morningside, Edinburgh called Space Artworks which supported and promoted local artists and makers until 2021.

I now share a studio in Edinburgh where I develop my artwork. I am interested in mixed media, incorporating texture to create my landscapes. I run regular one to one and group community art sessions and organise group exhibitions.

In 2022 I took up a fantastic residency with Cromarty Arts Trust. I tutored a rewarding entry level still life painting course which took inspiration from the Cromarty shorelines. In my experience very few people are absolute beginners. We all bring our own skills, knowledge and ideas to the subject of art making and its always surprising. I am delighted to be returning in April 2024 to offer a new still life painting course and to explore the landscape and geology of the area further. (see whats on for more details)
