Space Artworks was set up in 2012 to provide a diverse and creative arts space and support artists in Scotland living with a disability, long term illness and carers to make and promote their artwork directly to the public in a public art space alongside other makers.

What We Do:

Space Artworks began with 20 artists and makers of Scottish environmentally friendly crafts. Now we regularly support over with requests every month from individuals and groups who want to make and exhibit their artwork in the gallery.

We have staged over 15 group and solo exhibitions in the lower gallery.

We run regular one to one workshop with adults with additional needs

We also have run 20 different community skills workshops including painting, sculpture, sewing, textiles, kids drawing.

The project has grown beyond my expectations. The gallery is being regularly visited and used. It is wonderful to bring people together to share their experiences, enjoy the space and invest in beautiful art and craft work made in Scotland.

We are proud to be one of Edinburgh's 20 social enterprises, playing our part in the provision of ethical and local goods.
